Nothing goes into production until you’ve seen and approved it.
About Us
A small studio with a serious thread habit.
Threadhouse started in 2014 with one embroidery machine in a Portland garage. Today we’re a team of 28 — designers, digitizers and stitchers — making patches for teams, brands, clubs and uniforms.

Work with usOur story
Built on one idea: show people the proof first.
Our founder, Maya Chen, spent years ordering patches for her rugby club and kept getting surprises — wrong colors, muddy text, edges that frayed. So she bought a machine and promised herself she would never ship a patch she wouldn’t wear.
That promise is still our only house rule. Everything else — the team, the machines, the 60,000 orders — grew from it.

Maya buys a single-head embroidery machine to make patches for her rugby club.
- 2016First 1,000 orders
Word spreads through local teams and breweries. We move into a real workshop.
- 2019Woven, PVC & chenille
New machines and molds let us offer seven patch styles under one roof.
- 2022Team of 20
Dedicated specialists so every customer has one person from quote to delivery.
- 202660,000 orders and counting
Still proof-first. Still checking every batch by hand before it ships.
What we believe
Four values stitched into every order.
They decide how we quote, how we talk to you and what leaves the building.
Clear quotes, honest timelines and advice even when it means a smaller order.
We’ll suggest changes that make your patch look better, not just faster to make.
Recycled thread options and right-sized runs instead of overproduction.
The team
The people behind your patches.
Still reviews the trickiest proofs herself.
Runs 18 machines and a very tidy thread wall.
Turns sketches into stitch files that sew clean.
Your first reply, usually within the hour.
Inside the workshop
Equipment that keeps quality consistent.
Recycled polyester thread and plastic-free packaging on request.
